Raision Jumpparit is a sports club with 900 members, specializing in gymnastics. The club welcomes gymnasts of all ages, offering activities ranging from recreational gymnastics to competitive gymnastics. Raision Jumpparit adopted Suomisport in 2024, motivated in part by the desire to improve the club’s communication.

Just over a year ago, the club decided to move to Suomisport to strengthen its communication and membership registry management. At the same time, the aim was to make it easier to register for training and competition groups, as well as to streamline invoicing. According to Executive Director Laura Häkkilä, the main goal was to simplify everyday operations for the entire club community.

– The feedback we had heard about Suomisport was very positive, and its promotion sparked our interest. It was also an important factor for us that Suomisport is managed by the Finnish Olympic Committee and already widely used by many sports and clubs, Häkkilä explains.

Suomisport supporting club communication

According to Häkkilä, Suomisport has enhanced many aspects of the club’s operations. Messages now reach the entire membership in real time: at the start of each season an information message is sent to everyone with general updates, and once activities begin, the messaging is a great everyday support for the coaches.

– It is a relief to know that if there are changes to the training schedule, the message will immediately reach those concerned. We no longer need to instruct people to check their spam folders, Häkkilä explains.

Häkkilä also highlights the follow-up of the membership registry as a concrete benefit. In Suomisport, membership can be set as a requirement for signing up to groups. At Raision Jumpparit, this feature has been used from the very beginning.

– When someone registers for our training, we can be absolutely certain that their membership fee has been paid. We save a tremendous amount of time knowing we don’t have to spend resources on manual membership tracking.

Direct relief for the club’s everyday work

According to Häkkilä, the feedback on Suomisport has been largely positive. Praise has focused especially on the application’s ease of use. In problem situations, support has been available both from within the club and from Suomisport’s customer service.

When looking at the bigger picture, Häkkilä is clear about the benefits of Suomisport.

The more people use the platform, the wider the range of sports and activities we can offer to potential participants.

Häkkilä wants to encourage other clubs to recognize the broader benefits of Suomisport.

– Every feature has a direct impact on the club’s daily life. We have found it valuable to be able to rely on the service’s functionality and to genuinely feel that it has brought relief to our everyday operations. Suomisport is not just a service, but a central part of our club – and above all, a tremendous help in running it.
